web cam for skype

Hello folks, I have an emachine E525, only instruction in brief leaflet I got with it states web cam on some models but doesn't state which ones. I can't seem to use it with skype which I am just getting started to use. Any suggestions/help greatly appreciated. :))

If it's got a web cam it will be pretty noticeable, it's just above the screen right in the centre.

If it hasn't then any USB web cam will work. a cheap one will be fine for skype, a more expensive one will give better quality locally to you but don't expect to be able to use the extra quality on a web chat (unless both ends have loads of bandwidth)

Try an OLDER version of Sype first! That may fix it. Known issue with latest Skype versions.
