Good afternoon. I wondered how often you all updated your home insurance? Do you always keep it up to date? Do you just let it roll on even when you've made a big purchase? Do you update your home contents insurance if you receive/purchase something valuable?

I doubt most people do....even when they have building works to add an extension etc, they dont inform the insurance company until well after the works are completed.

most policies anyway take into effect a small rise in CSI at renewal.
That reminds me I need to sort some out for the new place....

you said name our price Twitchers gets its own category next site upgrade please
Voted! You're not selling insurance are you? I change my insurer if I can get the same terms more cheaply.

Reminds me of the joke where people broke in to put stuff in..... seriously tho Eddie, I know what you mean, we have an Emmaus near us and the furniture they say is really good second hand value.
I've just learned a lesson - "saved" money by reducing the excess on valuables a couple of years ago - OH lost the stone out of her engagement ring, and we got £500 towards the replacement.
My smart "saving" cost me a couple of grand...
So - update immediately , chaps and chapesses!
I don't have home insurance, cos there is no water inside the house, so no flooding, and it'll be cheaper to replace my tat if ever it is stolen/damaged, than to insure it! (This is in Ibiza btw!)
It is rare that i would buy an item of such value that needed to be itemised on the home insurance. Most insrance is ott anyway. Building Ins usually part of the contract for a loan to increase insurance we have found.
