I have a personal website and sometimes include items with sound using MIDI files. The sound works OK with Windows Media Player, but I don't know whether other media players receive it likewise and would be glad if someone would tell me please. A single page example, based on a Christian theme 'O Son of Man', can be found at http://www.skeef.freeserve.co.uk/sonofman

Since you've chosen to provide your sound as a downloadable file, rather than as background music, it should open in any media player. However, while it played normally in the Quicktime and GOM players, I couldn't get VLC to recognise it.

PS: Since when did Christians have exclusive claim to the music of 'Danny Boy'? ;-)

Thanks Chris. I didn't mean it that way - just thought it might be as well to pre-advise the nature of the words. Must say your avatar seemed rather appropriate!!
