I am with Orange, formerly wannadoo. I have to say over the last 4 years I have had fantastic service, the tech service is good and no problems at all, free second line free calls, £32 a month, I haven't found anything better unless you have got cable near you
Currently after nearly 3 Years with BT I pay £10.99 per month for Option1 Broadband.
Telephone Line Rental for unlimited Weekend Plan is currently £10.86
They give a reliable Broadband Service, they are not the cheapest but who wants to spend most days on the Phone complaining about loss of Service as would be the case with some ISP's.

We are currently with BT(not sure which package) and have been for 3-4 years and my wife says including landline we are currently coughing up about £60pm!
Have actually signed up with TalkTalk- but after seeing some bad reviews-I'm now getting cold feet.....BT have been quite reliable although download speed has never gone faster than around 4.3mbps. TalkTalk are offering max £26pm!
Would be happy with the same reliability & speed for less cost....What do you think?
My £32 monthly is inclusive of line rental, talk talk are ok but I'v heard their customer service is a bit dodgy and there are frequent disconnections
Which Option are you on with BT Matheous ?
My Telephone Calls are payable on top of the £21.85 I currently pay for Broadband and Line Rental, but I am not normally a heavy Phone user.
£60.00 per month seems a bit steep unless your Phone calls are included in that !

Yes -that includes calls....Not sure which package we have- would probably have to search around for a bill...
Well, I have mentioned it many times but I'm sticking with TalkTalk. I have not had to contact them with any problems, I have free broadband, free international calls, free UK calls at any time including 0845 and 0870 and they pay my line rental. My basic cost is £20+ per month. I have heard that some people have had trouble with them but I can only say how it is with me.
I wouldn't touch TalkTalk with a bargepole. I have a friend who signed up with them last October, he was told his broadband connection would be live a week after sign up, he never did manage to get the connection despite the fact they kept telling him he would. He had the phone service from them quickly enough but after 3 months of no broadband (despite paying for it) he cancelled the contract, they even tried to get him to cough up for 2 years fees due to early cancellation!
I'm with BT and have had little or no problems....I pay slightly more than redman as I'm on Option 2 and I regularly have 7.6Mb speed, but the exchange is just around the corner.
I was company secretary for a small firm and we switched to TalkTalk and had horrendous teething problems with them....however, once we had everything sorted out everything went smoothly and they were a lot cheaper than BT.
So.........do you feel lucky?
I'm also with BT we get the maximum speed for our exchange which is around 10Mb. We have option 3 (unlimited). The service from BT is excellent and reliable, the only time we had to contact them about line issues they rectified the fault within an hour, their customer service was easy to use.
We are with Sky and I can't fault it.

We have the basic sky+ package TV for £17 and pay £5 on top of this for the internet.

TalkTalk router arrived today.....I have said to my wife that we have thirty days after the activity date to cancel should we encounter any problems. (25-01) I will post here the outcome and final decision. Thanks to all for their responses....much appreciated.
Been with PlusNet for a number of years - again can't fault them (now owned by BT but still maintained as a separate business. Regularly come top of user polls.

If cable is an option for you, then I would opt for Virgin Cable broadband. I don't rate their customer service at all, but the connection is very reliable and very fast (you get the speed you pay for). My service over a year has been so reliable that I've not had to call them at all.

I pay for 10megs and I get - on average - around 9.6 - 9.8 megs. That's something that an ADSL phone-line based service can never get you (the rated speed). There's also room for expansion, so if I want to upgrade to 20mb or 50mb I can do at any time.

I have a phone with BT but they will only offer me 1mb where I live even though it's in a town centre, so I pay £20 per month for my service, but the value is better if you bundle the service with a phone or TV, obviously.
i'm with virgin broadband in a bundle with tv and phone, it,s very quick as i had tiscali before it cost a fortune to complain. at least with virgin it's free if you have a problem, which (touch wood) i don't
Yes I'm with virgin and it's very fast and reliable, I've heard bad things about their customer service but in 4-5 years have only ever had to contact them when i moved house.
I have been with Sky for over two years,I have Broadband basic which doesn't cost anything when you have Sky Satelte Basic programme for £17,plus I have Sky telephone service instead of BT it's cheaper, and I have had no problems Matheous.

Well.....we did go live on Monday and all our computers could not see TalkTalk among approx. eight of our neighbours nearby (wireless) so I managed to connect through ethernet by cable & mains network thingumies on my Mac and then tried my wife's laptop which also worked by ethernet cable. My wife then demanded a wireless connection or else! SO I phoned TT and was passed along two call centers with musak in between until someone who knew his stuff bit the bullet & called up the router settings (which I anticipated he would) -TalkTalked me through altered settings & congratulated me that we were now WIRELESS! Total time approx 40mins (free call) I carried out a speedtest & it managed about 5.34 mbps. So we are fairly happy with that for the price....
Thanks for all your replies peoples!!....
TalkTalk don't give a **** about their users. They have caused nothing but grief with my family. We were going to switch to them and they said they would cancel our contract with BT (British Telecom). They only cancelled half of the services, leaving us with a massive bill. I spoke to talktalk and told them how useless they were - they accepted that they were in the wrong. My friend is also with talktalk and he rang them asking "how can I retrieve the wireless password", they replied 'We cannot give you that information without speaking to the account holder'. I rang them and told them that they were useless and that the password was as standard (username: admin, password: admin). They told me this was incorrect.... After changing the wireless password whilst still communicating with talktalk I told them that they were absolutely pathetic and that their 'call centres' were nothing but a useless waste of skin, and that the 'helpers' were just reading from a screen. BT are about as good but at least with them you can (if requested) speak to someone in the UK that can at least pronounce the word 'understand'.
