3G dongle

I have a 3G Vodaphone dongle which has been working fine but just recently it has started cutting off after 7 minutes with a message that says phone line busy as we have not got a phone line I dont know what it is it will not reconnect until I restart the computer then it goes off again after 7 minutes any ideas

Could just be because the connection to the site you want is oversubscribed?
I have a 3 mobile mobile internet dongle. It doesn't cut off with a message but sometimes sits there not doing anything. (Usually about 6:00pm when sites presumably are busy!

the dongle uses a sim card like your mobile.so it is not always reliable.
you are not on broadband although they are advertised as such you are on a diall up that uses a sim card.
if you want a line thats good you have to have a permenant connection ie cable or bt
you could have done the same as using a dongle by using your mobile phone
