First thing to try is switch off everything including the router and then try again.

Thanks for your replies........still will not download.......will get a "man in."
Assuming that you're still in Spain, Sqad, you might be having problems due to licensing rights. Sky is barred from providing their UK service to viewers outside the UK (because they only hold the UK broadcasting rights to programmes). However there are ways around the problem offered (totally illegally) by many companies in continental Europe. So I assume that you're using such a solution youself.

However, while Sky's satellite-based system can be tricked into assuming that you're a UK customer, the internet-based part of their system is less easily fooled. That's because your router's IP address will show that you're in Spain, meaning that Sky has a legal obligation to block content from being sent to you. The only way around it is to use a UK-based VPN (so that your IP address appears to be in the UK), with ExPat Shield probably being the most popular choice:

Sqad it sometimes does that, I have found that it normally corrects itself after a couple of hours - as long as it shows in settings that its connected to the internet - try again in a bit.

It might be worth checking that your VPN is doing it's job. Simply click here:

Buenchico....what an interesting website. Yes it has me on the right Spanish Island but the wrong town..........if that makes any difference.
Thanks anyway.
It connects to the Broadband but only downloads fro about 3 secs.
It looks like a new Digibox, WiFi enabled.
If it shows you as being on a Spanish island the VPN isn't working
If that website says that you're in Spain then your VPN seems not to be working! It should show the IP address allocated by your VPN which, I assume, should be a UK one.

For example, here's what I see when I use that website with my computer running normally:

and here's what I see if I use a proxy server to route my internet traffic via Germany:

Since you're seeing a 'normal' result, rather than the one to be expected when using a proxy server (which is what a VPN actually is), your VPN is either allocating you another Spanish IP address (which isn't going to help you access UK web services) or, far more likely, simply not working at all.

OK thanks folks.
600 mg Ibuprofen should do the trick!
Question Author
It thinks it's in Spain because i have it connected to the router, so later today, I will connect it to the VPN router and see if that makes a difference.
Thanks for the tip.
