Google Docs Not Responding

When trying to access Google Docs on my Android tablet it says NOT RESPONDING and gives options Wait Report or o.k. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but no success. I can access the docs on Google drive but can't on Google Docs. Is there anything else I can do.
