There are several sites which discuss this - this is one of them http://webapps.stackexchange.com/questions/4249/how-does-amazon-know-what-i-have-been-searching-on-google

They all share spy cookies. Use superantispyware.
Mind you that's the first I've heard of receiving e-mails using them.
Sure it was from Amazon ?
Run Malwarebytes too.
There should be an 'unsubscribe' button at the foot of the emails
Everyone is 'spying' on everyone.
If you are using the "world wide web" everyone is spying on everyone.
No!!!
I didn't quote Svejk ;-)

Just agreed
Go on, say, the Good Morning thread on here and you'll get pop-up Ads for basques and sex-aids throughout the day.
you have accepted cookies to get onto certain sites

rather than stopping one - you should be aware that your habits are being monitored ... to sell tou more rather than other purposes
Maybe some one should start a "happy ending" thread.
See what adverts you get then.
If you are using Google as your Search Engine then all sites involved with them (including Answerbank) will have you on their lists for advertising purposes.

I dislike Google and avoid using it's services as much as possible.

Hans.

I think it must be Google because now Argos are sending me the same things and I didn,t look at them directly either
