Internet "dropping" On Toshiba Laptop

My daughter has a Toshiba laptop around 2 years old- it's great apart from a problem with the internet

Basically, when she browses the internet, it "cuts out" after around 45 mins. She then turns off WIFI on the computer and turn it on again, and then will get an internet connection for around 30 mins until it cuts out again. This time however, turning off WIFI won't work- she has to restart the computer. The cycle starts again.

This isn't anything to do with the internet connection available, the laptop is used in work, home, libraries and its always the same. Running Windows 8, and have tried changing from Internet Explorer to Firefox etc. Also updated Microsoft Security essentials and Malwarebytes....

Any help? Thank you!

Barcodes and version are all disappeared off the laptop, but it's a 320gb Toshiba Satellite C850, bought in Argos in March 2013. No installation disks came with it, so I'm not sure if it's a Pentium or Celeron processor. It's running Windows 8.... sorry I can't be more specific....
