I've been getting a message on Facebook lately to download an app said to get 70% more life out of your phone battery. I assumed it was spam at first but tonight I clicked on it and it took me to an app called DU Battery Saver on the Play Store.

The app has 50 million downloads so now I assume it is legit but has anyone used it and able to attest to its capabilities?

I've not used that one but they have a number of similar ones in the Play Store. I've used them in the past and they can save you a little. I assume it costs you nothing to try or is it a pay one ?
Depends whether you want the app to control your phones functions. Sounds a bit of a nightmare to me:

No OG it's free but I get fed up installing and uninstalling apps. Thanks zap, found a few interesting articles via your link.
:-) My phone has loads of apps I don't really use and should uninstall. It annoyed me when I was informed they block installation to the memory card I'd bought. Felt I'd been conned. Now have a massive card with hardly anything on it. It's hard not to see that sort of thing as something other than a sadistic act to amuse the designers. :-(

Yeah OG that is irritating. I was caught out like that before too. Now I know that you need a decent sized internal memory as well as sd card.
