in red, in capitol letters, underlined and some there is a small circled green arrow at the top right of the word.

When I put my cursor over them, an advert pops up.

Any ideas why anybody?

'Cos there's some nasty malware on your computer!

Download, install and run the free version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (taking care to deselect any option offering you the chance to take a free trial of the Premium version):

Just finished scan Buenchico, but the same :-(

At the end of the scan it tells you if it found anything and gives the option to remove it, did you do that?
As Baldric states, you need to click on 'View results' (or something like that), then check that there's a tick alongside everything listed and click the button to get rid of it all.

Sorry for being late in giving the info you asked for, but been a little busy with some other problems.

Its a laptop and I have windows 7, and use both F/Fox and Google Chrome.
When I did the quick scan on malwarebytes it showed I had 7 problems which I clicked on quarantine.

I even did a Spybot scan as well, and it said there was some corrupt files they couldn't remove.

I have problems on both F/F and G/C with what I said above, plus all the continuous pop up adverts, and pages just coming up for betting sites etc.

I am not very experienced with the ins and outs of PC language, but I do try to do what you good people give me for advice etc.

I don't like, or want to waste your time in trying to get me sorted out, and if I am becoming a nuisance, please just say or ignore my post and will have to take it to the local computer shop, as its driving me up the wall as it is!

Once again, thanks for the time you have given me on this issue, Ron.

Ron, calm down, we're all trying to help!
;-)
When this happened to me it was a sneakily installed toolbar.
You should be able to remove it by using Add or Remove Programs on your control panel, accessible from your start icon.
I hope this helps.

Thanks Baldric, I'm just so frustrated with it.

Thanks frognog, but I wouldn't know what name to look for on the add/remove.

There are peeps on here with far more expertise than me, I'm sure they'll be around soon!
