multiple routers

Sorry if this is a silly question but I'm not particularly au-fait with this.

Can I connect more than one broadband router to the same telephone line? My router is currently upstairs with my desktop PC connected to it as this computer doesn't have wireless. I want to connect my Freesat+HD box downstairs to the internet to avail of catch-up TV and have a spare router that my broadband supplier sent me by mistake when I moved house.

I know I could just get a wireless dingle dangle for my PC but if I could connect both routers, one upstairs and one downstairs instead it would save me a few bob.

Many thanks

No.

I also would use a wireless dongle.
