FACEBOOK - BIRTHDAY NOT SHOWING ON TIMELINE

Can anyone help me?
i would like my birthday to show on my timeline - i have gone to UPDATE ,INFO, then "SHOW MY FULL BIRTHDAY" , then save, FINISHED EDITING. But my birthday stilloesnt show. please help?

have you selected who can see the info? on right hand side of the basic info bit, you need to change that to friends or everyone

It's also not generally recommended to show your full birthday as this is a vital bit of information for identity theft. just showing the date (but not the year) will still let your friends know when your birthday is and will be more secure.

I purposely don't show mine. Not because of personal security but as a test. My real friends will know when it's my birthday.

i don;t put the year in for two reasons, security and i'm getting old and trying to forget it
