No.

Eh?
No it won't Hotmail is a mail provider, outlook is a bit of software from reading mail from any mail provider, so outlook doesn't replace hotmail, it's just a different way to read the mails from them. That aside, all you need to log in here is your username and password, your email doesn't come into it at all. if you are changing your email address then you won't receive emails from AB unless you change the email address in your profile here to match the new address. |

No you can keep your email address the same

But if you forget your AB password you won't be able to retrieve it unless AB has your current e-mail address. That's why I'm dzug2 - had to reregister from scratch.

They are changing the branding and technology of Hotmail.com to Outlook.com (surprised chukles didn't know that).
This is part of MS policy of ensuring that there is major confusion about whether someone is using a desktop client (Outlook or Windows Live Mail) or a web client (Outlook.com or WindowsLiveMail.com) |

OH.... I didn't know that (I knew they are changing it over to a metro style interface soon, didn't realise it was going to be re-branded too)
Well that's going to cause confusion on here with people asking questions about outlook in the future :) |

Like, there's not enough confusion in AB Technology already :-) |

Those using a hotmail addy need to update their gravatar account too.

Arrghh; why do I bother using microsoft stuff; it always ends up being updated to be more 'user friendly' when it actually just means you have to get used to a whole new way of using it just in time for them to release another update!

They've buggered up messenger (sorry 'windows live') again - bunch of bloody american amateurs ...

Thank Ab Editor I've still got my Gmail account. My Hotmail/Outlook account will go the way of Internet Explorer - there but not used.
