Comodo Internet Security

Anyone had experience of Comodo Internet Security (Free version) ?

My friendly techie person has recently added it to my PC and I'm already fed up with the myriad of pop-up warning labels which mean nothing to me but require approval or disapproval. Sometimes I have to deal with thirty or even forty at a time ! Should I bother ?

Recommendations, please.

I also have Malware, by the way.

It's common practice for security programs to keep telling you how wonderful they are (by flashing up lots of information onto your screen)unless you opt out.

Open Comodo's settings panel (from Start > programs).
Click the Firewall tab.
Click on 'Safe Mode' (or whichever other mode is currently set).
Click the Alert Settings tab.
Remove all of the 'Enable' ticks (and/or set the slider to 'Very Low')
Click 'OK'.

Thanks once more, Chris.

In addition to Chris' advice:

1) Uninstall Comodo and never speak of it again
2) Install Microsoft Security Essentials
3) Uninstall any and all other anti-malware products
4) Download and install the free version of malwarebtyes and run it once a week, or whenever you feel it might be useful
I banished comodo forevermore because of this..M Essentials does the job for me !!
MarkRae: after recently installing MSE, I have had to remove it, as it left my computer refusing to recognise my external hard drive. It may not suit everyone, despite the praise lavished on it.
Hi jno...Sorry to hear that MSE is causing problems.

What 'virus protection programme' are you now using.?

I've just removed the dreadful Comodo Security (Free version) and installed AVG Anti-virus Free edition 2012 plus Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (Free version)

Is that sufficient protection for a home PC ?
I would say "it is". It should be as good as what I have....MSE and the free 'Malwarebytes'.

Comodo Internet Security is good program. But it's not good to use.

Good to know that Your have just removed the dreadful Comodo Security (Free version) and installed AVG Anti-virus Free edition 2012 plus Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (Free version)

This is secure enough for home PC.

By the way, I think it's necessary to install a system optimization tool to maintain fast computer performance. I would like recommend you Cloud System Booster from cnet. http://download.cnet....rm;productListing;pop
How do you think? It's depend on you. :)
