How do i know how fast i can type?

How do i know how fast i can type? Timing yourself type isn't really convenient.
I know there are programs for that. Which one do you recommend?

Count the number of stokes you have typed, divide by 5 to get the number of words typed, deduct 10 for each error made, then divide by number of minutes taken, then you had the 'words per minutes' (wpm)

only 30 wpm but at least it was only 7 mistakes all of which were due to a dodgy space bar on my keyboard..
