For the last few days I have been having problems with my orange internet. Any programme I log on to that is on my desktop works perfectly but if I try to access a programme through orange I am getting a message "Internet explorer has encountered a problem and is shutting down" Sometimes this happens straight away but sometimes after a couple of minutes. I am using Vista and IE8 Any ideas would be gratefully appreciated,
thanks Alex

sounds like a virus. run a scan, or if you do not have anti-virus programme loaded, get AVG. its free and will scan for everything.
Also, download and use Firefox instead of IE.

thanks I ran a scan last night with Ad-Aware and it found a couple of things and removed them but still the same problem
Don't think adware is going to find trojans. AVG is a must, and Firefox as philtaz says.
Check that Internet Explorer is fully up to date:

or, far better, use a decent web browser!

I had this a lot last week, I am with BT and IE7. It didn't like this site at all. Has been alright for last few days. Maybe just your turn Lol.
Scan with Malwarebytes and let it do it's thing.
Use MS Security Essentials if poss if you need a free AV.
Anything in IE damaged, you need to re-install it.
