I have a mate who gets serial codes to activate them, is it a problem ?

Well it is illegal.

And you may find the codes stop working after a time (the companies who issue codes soon get to find out which ones are being handed round and deactiveate them).

But as long as you are happy defrauding the comapny who spent their time and money creating the software in the first place then go ahead.

Maybe someone in China will work out how to do your job without needing to pay you and then you may get made redundant, but never mind eh.
