PAYPAL PENDING PAYMENTS

Why are paypal holding paypants lately? I was told by EBAY a few months ago that payments were being held until positie feedback was received.
This now doesnt seem to be the case as i have received positive feedback for several items and the release dates for the payments are 30th August and 4th sept.
Can anyone help?

Sounds like you/they may be paying by Paypal E-cheque, which take 10 days to clear. You don't make it clear if you're the buyer or seller.
If you're the seller, check the E-mail from Paypal to see if it says that they have paid by E-cheque.
If you're buying then check to see how you have paid as you may have unwittingly paid by Paypal E-cheque.
