my sister is having lots of problems lately not being able to get on to internet. She has phoned orange almost everyday for a week now and no further on. They keep saying will phone her back but never do. She can get on early morning before 7am or late at night anyone experienced this before or what could be causing this. Orange suggested phoneline problem but phone works ok but got bt to check line to check they say all is ok. At first we thought problem with router but why work early and late very strange. Any ideas?

I`m with orange, had a connection problem a few months back and eventually got sent a new router, problem solved

well we thought orange would suggest to replace router but as yet no. thanks for reply elvis
They didn`t suggest it til after 2 weeks of phone calls and line checking and everything seeming ok from their end

thanks elvis have passed on info to her. cannot understand the early morning and late at night connections.
Orange has been messing around with their website - and not for the better. I've been having much the same sort of problem, also the better early morning and late evening access. One thing that just might help is to have a link to Orange on your Links Bar. Try saving the Orange opening page to favourites; (which will probably identify itself with a whole long rigmarole of names - Mobile Phones Broadband & Mobile Broadband UK Deals etc. etc.). Once saved as a favourite you can then re-name it to a single word, maybe orange, and then use 'organise favourites' to put it on your links bar. Hopefully this might help the access problem. I've done a similar thing with Google as Internet Explorer frequently tells me it cannot display the web page. Good luck!
Hi..I'm with Orange...and was having dropped connections ten or more times a day....could always reconnect but such a nuisance eh?

I asked them to send me the wireless modem/router....Gigaset Se 572 WLAN
dsl. was what they sent.

Set this up three months ago ( so simple even I could do it) and not one single dropped connection since....I run my PC with ethernet connection and my Toshiba laptop with wireless connection on a home network and find it just perfect and stable....also my download and upload speeds doubled at a stroke.......

The router/modem came free too which seemed like a bonus.

Hope this helps....commoner.
Complain about constant non-connectability.
They should send BT to check gain on line.
If you are on the old copper cables .. there may be a fix in swapping to a spare wire pair.
