My broadband speed has dramatically dropped from around the 17-18mb mark to 1.8mb. I pay for the unlimited package so can'y understand why this would be. I have only got round to actually checking the speed tonight, it has been like this for a couple of days now. Re booted router, all my Mac's etc but no joy.

Any ideas before i have to ring the worst customer services ever!

How do you know it was 17-18 MBit to start with?

What type of connection you on? standard BT line?
What is local average speed? Town/City area?

My village tops out at 2 mbit.

Thanks for your answer AlBags, forgot I posted this as i sorted the problem out. All else fails, reset instead of reboot the router, did this and back to normal speed.

I run speedtest now and again and that is why I knew there was a problem

Thanks again
