what size are you looking for?
weve just bought a samsung 46" LED 3D TV, the picture is great

It will have to be a smallish one to fit the space 26 - 30 inches I think
LCD will be fine then. Im not even sure you can get plasmas that small as they tend to bebest for 46" and up
Having recently had to wrestle with this problem I can offer this summary:

LCD: Most natural picture, sometimes "appears" sharper

LED: Higher contrast, but as such some complain about an "unnatural" look to the colours. The blacks are definitely blacker though

Plasma: The best for movement and "blacks" - but the picture doesn't appear as "sharp"

So - just choose what looks good to you!

Spare Ed
LCD then.

Not sure if you can even get Plasma in that size anymore.
"The blacks are definitely blacker though"
so true. We'd only had ours a few days when there was a slow scene showing a dark room. I though the TV had broken! lol

LCD loks the best then, do they all consume the same power?
No.

Plasmas use loads more power than LCD or LED TVs

I figured out a little while ago that my 50" plasma was costing me over £100 more a year to run in electricity than a LCD the same size!
Plasma anytime .. but the best.
My Pioneer is as sharp as any LCD I have ever seen .. and certainly not blocky .. or smeary like some LG LCD screens I have seen. My mates nearly new LG is terrible.
LCD is a lot cheaper on electricity than the plasma,The new LED ones are meant to be good also.
Time to buy big LED TV's will be second or third generation displays.
Unless you like buying beta stuff, that is.
Dont forget one thing when you choose the best in terms of quality and in terms of screen. The led has fexible screen. This means if you accidentally throw something in the screen the screen probabily wont break. Take also this in consideration. Accidents with new tecnology screens such as lcd, plasma are very common...
thats nice to know. Reason we have the LED now is because my daughter smacked something into the LCD lol Good job the insurers paid out
keep away from plasma and personally I would keep away from Panasonic,
OLED screens are currently the best but are very, very expensive.
Mickrog ..
You obviously dont have an effin clue.
What a stupid comment.
ok mr know it all......you must be right
Well .. righter than you were .. that's for sure : )
