Unless you live close to the transmitter, to ensure a loft mounted aerial will receive an adequate digital signal – you will need something like this:-

This aerial includes a mains powered booster amp, so you will need a power connection in your loft.
A high gain aerial claimed to be suitable for digital signals and loft mounted might work – but it would depend on how strong your local signal is. Even with the addition of a booster amp, may not be enough if your local signal is weak.
