E-READER

My daughter is going to buy me an E-Reader.Today,I have received an email from Mighty Deals with an offer for one, instead of £129,is £49.99.
I don`t want her to pay too much as I will not be using it a great deal...I love my books...but will be handy for travelling etc.
What do you all think about the offer one?

You would need to check the types of files it can read, I don't know that much about other formats as i just use my Kindle,Bu the one in the link seems quite limited.

Kindle is limited too because you can't download library books to it.
I would expect an eReader to read ePub and RTF.
I don't recognise that e-reader - it looks completely unbranded. There's no way it was ever worth £129. £50 may be a fair price for it new, but it's hard to tell. I wouldn't say you were getting a bargain there.

One really important thing with an e-reader is the quality of the screen, which you just can't tell from this promo. I wouldn't buy without seeing one in the flesh, or knowing the brand, or at least reading lots of genuine reviews ...
Worth £130? I don't think so.
This is an unbranded e-reader made to sell at a low price. Could be OK, could be a disappointment. I would want to try it before I bought it.

It's not even a proper e-reader, it looks to me more like a cheap Chinese unbranded android pad.
It doesn't use the most common e-book formats. Complete waste of money in my opinion.

I am totally ignorant about E-readers or Kindle.I decided to opt for the former as,like you say,hc4361,one is limited with a Kindle.

Thank you everyone, glad I asked you as I had my doubts.
Not going to buy it.
Whilst I am on the subject, how easy are they to use,I mean downloading books etc.
I agree with you entirely. I hate to see people wasting their money too on things I will rarely use. Have you tried looking on Ebay as one may be an unwanted present from someone? See the link below:
