What is the difference between a Kindle and an E-Reader?

Me too kloofnek, nothing like a good book, but I also love my kindle, I have arthritis in my hands especially in my thumbs, which take the weight of a book while lying down reading. I find my kindle has helped cure this a great deal, in fact the odd occasions when I do try to read a book in bed the pain comes back very quickly indeed. I still read books just not in bed. Kindle very handy for taking out and about too. My daughter downloads lots of books then sends them to me as I don't have wi-fi, (it takes literally seconds) and if we are reading the same one we can have a good natter about it. Hi RosyPosy..always nice to hear from a like-minded person..arthritis is my problem too and while I do read at other times find it is when I am in bed that is the problem,may sound daft..but I lie on my side whilst reading...so if the book is thick or a new one (which tend not to be flexible as when old)I have trouble holding it unpainfully.
Will have to indulge in a Kindle...more technology!!!.

Well all I can say is that honestly it has really made my hands much less painful (that is exactly how I hold a book in bed too)-good luck - rosy

Kindle is locked into Amazon so you can only purchase ebooks from them. Other e readers will support anything other than amazon ebooks. This gives a much wider choice and the ability to borrow library ebooks.
