Apple iPad3 to HDTV

Hopefully back to you ChuckFickens......I purchased the Adaptor and HDMI cable as recommended. I have connected adaptor to Ipad and hdmi from ipad to hdmi3 on my TV. I then turned on ipad and with "source" button on tv remote, scanned for ipad's mirrored screen. BUT, I must be missing something as I get nothing at all. Can you assist me please? Tel

I've not got an Ipad... but a quick search shows there is a setting in Settings > General > TV Out > TV Signal to select the TV output between NTSC and PAL, make sure this is set on PAL

(the option only appears when the TV lead is connected)

Hi ChuckFickens, I have tried your advice but I can't locate "TV Out"
Went into "settings" & "General" but no sign of "TV"..........any other ideas. This is model iPad 3. Thanks....Tel
