Nokia Lumia 800 and yahoo mail

I have the above phone and my yahoo mail is set up on it. My question is: when I access my mail on the phone, it does not show everything that is in my inbox, and if i look in any of my mail folders, it does not show anything in them. It's as if it will only show recent things. Does anyone know a way to rectify this.
TIA x

Go into the mailbox, press the 3 little dots at the bottom of the screen to bring up the menu.... then...

For not showing all mails select settings then sync settings and change the number of days to sync.

for the folders press folders then show all folders.

Actually, another query. I also have a Virgin media email address that i would like to access from the phone but i cant seem to set it up?
Yeah, no problem, windows phone 7 deals with multiple mail boxes better than any other phone OS.

Go into settings, find and select email+accounts, then select add an account, scroll down to the bottom and select advanced setup, enter your email address and password, click next then on the next screen select internet email and then enter the following...

account name: whatever you want to call it
your name: errr... your name :)
incoming mail server: imap.virginmedia.com or imap4.virgin.net (depending on what the last part of your email address is)
Account type: IMAP4
Username: your email address again
Password: your password
outgoing(SMTP) server: smtp.virginmedia.com

Make sure both the tick boxes are ticked and click sign in.

I was too used to my iphone!
I think windows phone is better...

If it's fairly new make sure you've installed zune on your computer connect the phone and let it do all the updates.

(You may want to wait until you've got plenty of time for it to update, the first update on my HTC HD7 took over 2 hours)

Yes, i prefer it to the iphone. I have Zune. It is much easier to transfer my music from laptop... I used to hate itunes! I hear there maybe a tablet on the way to rival the ipad?!
Seeing the answers re. Zune I have downloaded it to get a taste & I am finding that when playing a tune from my music library it stops & starts, is this a fault with Zune or something else ?

W Ron.
