Do you have the make and model of your MP3 device?

Hi Don, thanks for replying. Unfortunately it is a "generic" I can find
LKC_9112_V30 and 2007-08-14 , 9.1.52 2005-01-09 in the section "Firmware version" That is all. my guess is I need to re-install the firmware but haven't found out how to do it. Cheers |

There is, unfortunately, the possibility that your device has been hacked to show more memory than is actually available. Seems it's a common problem on generic devices. Take a look at this and maybe try following the 'removing a hack' link...?

Thanks. I'll give it a try. I'd heard of the 2gb to 4gb con. It seems player was set up to work with the memory set up as 4gb..I'm guessing that is why it cuts out at exactly 10 secs. I may just accept it is just 2gb flash device with a radio!
