mobile phone PIN

I know absolutely nothing about using a mobile phone so very basic answers please
it is LG 800 bought a few years ago but I have only used it once
I thought I ought to have another go with it so I have been reading the instruction book and playing a bit to see what it does,on some functions it asks for a PIN2 number but I have no idea what that is or where to find it, I still have all the packaging but can only see the phone number and the sim number.

the instruction book should tell you what the pin2 is...they are often set at the factory to all zeros or all ones.

thank you
the only thing I can find in the instruction book says that you can ask it to show the PIN
I followed the instructions but it asked me to enter the PIN first
