i desperately need....

a typewriter ribbon (or two if possible)
i have an electronic typewriter called a sharp fw-700 font writer, which has a fold out large lcd screen. they are no longer manufactured, so therefore the ribbons are no longer made either. i have scoured as many car boot sales as possible (that's where i got it) for more ribbons, but of course - no luck. it looks like an old type of audio tape that would fit in a small hand-held memo recorder. there must be some out there somewhere, and i'm asking all you AB'ers to help me find some..please.

Seriously? What do you think I mean? You say you've already scoured as many car boot sales as possible - how much has that cost you in terms of wasted time? Every day which goes by that you are unable to work must be costing you something in terms of inability to generate revenue, so why not just bite the bullet and buy a more up-to-date device for which consumables are readily available...?

I agree with Mark...

You've obviously got a computer so I can't quite work out why you need an antiquated typewriter. printers are cheap if you've not got one and word processing software can be had for free.

no, chuckfickens. i do not obviously have a computer, that is why i have a typewriter.
i will pre-empt your next question by telling you that i visit this site (and the www) on my mobile phone mostly, and at the library when i can get there.
