pcb solder pins

Hello all

Does anyone know of a source of pins for holes about 1/16" diameter? I have looked at Maplin and done a search. Have not come up with anything other than those that need a 1.32mm hole.

thanks

You don’t state the purpose of these pins – what they are to mate with, how long they should be.

You could consider making them yourself, from the appropriate size AWG wire.

1/16 inch = 0.0625 inch.

14 AWG has a nominal diameter of 0.0641 inch – so might be a tight fit.
15 AWG has a nominal diameter of 0.0571 inch – so might be too loose.

Of course there will be no ‘collar’ to a straight piece of wire – to help position/locate the pin at the solder hole.
Mulitple pin connectors for board to board or board to wire connections are commonly called "headers" or "pin headers", look here;

or try CPC; http://cpc.farnell.com/
