Sucessor(s) to Nikon Coolpix 990

I very much like the ability of the Nikon Coolpix 990 to have its LCD monitor part of the camera twisted through any angle w.r.t. the viewfinder part. Great for very close macros, too.

Alas, my Nikon Coolpix 990 has come to the end of its very usefull life. Is/are there successor(s) to this particular sort of model?

It looks as if you're out of luck. There are no similar cameras listed on Nikon's UK website:

The Coopix 990 was succeeded by the Coolpix 995 (in 2001), which in turn was succeeded by the Coolpix 4500 and then by the Coolpix S4 and eventually by the Coolpix S10 but that appears to be the end of the line.

A refurbished S10 is available (from a seller with a 100% positive feedback rating) for £195.00 on eBay:
