Digital recorder with HD

I recently purchased a new full hd tv with built in freeview. I have been looking at PVR's so I can also record stuff and they are cheaper than DVD recorders. I do not need one with a record to disk as I vary rarely keep stuff. The ones I was looking at were PVR with digital plus, and PVR with digital plus HD. Am I correct to assume that I need a PVR with digital plus HD? I assume that as you play the TV through the PVR, you would not get HD pictures with just a PVR with digital plus. Many thanks in advance.

Thanks for that deggers but are you sure that a freeview box without HD will produce HD results when played back? I have seen the humax ones and thought that the reason why some were more expensive than others was that one played back in hd and the other didn't. I am a complete novice at this and stand to be corrected by anyone who knows better.
I always recommend Humax .. as they are the best consumer PVR's.
Just decide if you want HD or SD recording.
