FREESAT RECORDER QUERY!

I am repeating this query on this topic as I am not so sure where it should go....but here goes anyway!
I have had FREESAT for many months now (since ditching SKY+ and its expensive monthly costs) and am absolutely delighted with it.
I have a GRUNDIG recorder however with which I am not so happy as it has a sneaky habit of "failing" to record programs - often part of a series etc. I have been in contact with Grundig and they were less than helpful.
I am considering buying the HUMAX recorder which gets top marks for reliability. My query is - can you transfer the unseen progs from one recorder to another? My bet is that you can't but my Geeky grandson said I can - then pushed off on his gap year - leaving me wondering...LOL
Any suggestions folks - or do I just cut my losses and start again - thus missing out on many hours of good progs I still want to see!!!
Any advice would be very welcome - thanks - ;>>))

Not without a GREAT DEAL of time and hassle.
Watch what you can on the Grundis .. then start again with the Humax.
You bought the right machine. Check for firmware updates .. and subscribe to them at Humax.

Many thanks for your advice - and just what I figured - start over!
However - delighted to hear that HUMAX is the right one to buy - as I was very dispointed in the reliability of the Grundig.
Sorry to be so long in replying - I have been "off air" due to a corrupt PC...whatever next!!
