GPS signal problem on TomTom One Classic sat nav

I've had a TomTom One Classic sat nav for a couple of years and it's brilliant! Or at least it was until the last couple of weeks, when it started playing silly beggars!

When I turn the device on, it can take up to 20 minutes for it to find a GPS signal, but once it finds it, it's fine.

Any idea what the problem is, please?

I think there is a problem with one of the satelites ,we have had a lot of trouble being sent in the wrong direction with the sat nav this week until it picked up another signal

Thanks follyfancier.

My sat nav now "struggles" for the first 20-or-so minutes regardless of whether I'm driving or whether I simply turn the device on and "watch" it indoors, i.e. stationary.
I had same problem a while back. First thought it was car windscreen as has a protective film in it, but did same in other car and even outside of car. Linked it my PC n updated software etc as they recommend and all ok now. Also been told that if u turn it off away from yr current position when u turn it back on, even by a few miles, this can sometimes causes the time lag whilst it sorts itself out (that was info from TomTom). Just a glitch but can b a pain when it happens.
I too have the same 20-minute time lag with a TomTom. A Blackberry (with standard Sat Nav app) in the same car at the same time does not have this problem. When navigating from an area you don't know the TomTom is useless unless you have given it substantial time to find enough GPS' .
