WINDOWS SECURITY CENTRE - VIRUS PROTECTION

I downloaded Microsoft Virus Protection, but now everytime I log on a message appears telling me that it is not turned on. I cannot get it to turn on. When I try to reinstall I get a message saying I cannot install as it is already on my computer with an error code Ox4FF02 How do I get around this.

Doesn't seem to be a complete error code (the first digit is ZERO, anyhow).

I'd uninstall & reinstall it.

Make sure NO other AV is installed at all. Remove this and re-install MSE if necessary.
Ensure Windows genuine validated install .. as it will not continue running.
