Synchronising contacts between Outlook on pc and an Android mobile

If anyone has found an easy way of synchronising contact details in Outlook with an Android mobile (in my case a Samsung Galaxy S) I would love to know how to do it. My previous mobile was Windows-based and it was as easy as anything using Microsoft's ActiveSync. Thanks for any ideas.
