FAO Chuck....Hi, Ordered two 512 memory sticks from Crucial Friday....They arrived this morning (Sat) managed to put them in place fairly easily,and my opening reading is now : Start memory 1536 available memory 947! What's more the computer does seem to be working faster..... Thanks for your advice....John..

If you've not done it recently it would be worth de-fragmenting your hard drive too, depending on the size of the drive and how long it's been since last done this can take a few hours to complete. but doing this basically re-arranges all the files on the hard drive so all the bit's of a file are next to each other rather than spread all over the drive.

Hi Chuck...Have already done that and also signed up with Trusteer now that Iv'e got more space ,and things are certainly a lot better. I just hope they stay that way!! Cheers, John
