WE have encountered a problem I bought some HP Colour and Black Ink cartridges some while ago ,since that time as I have been very poorley, they have not been used ,I am told that once they have passed the USEl by date the contents dry etc and are no longer any use ,Is there anything I can do ,I have spent so much money now these items are heading for the Refuse Collection Operative The Recycle Operative does not take Cartridges or CD Cases or Videos (Remember them ?)

Once again any ideas please can the Cartridges be brought back to life.

Thank to you all .

I have recently bought a set of compatible cartridges for my Epson printer and there is a use-by date of 03/2012 but I haven't installed them yet. On a leaflet with them it says 'after unpacking ensure you use all the ink within 6 months'. Also, run your printer at least once a week to avoid clogging problems.
I haqve installed cartridges well after their apparent use by date.

I have never had a problem.

As long as you store them in reasonable room temperature conditions they are pretty well OK.
if you are throwing them away - why not open one - clip it into the printer

..... and see if it works ....
