Hi. After suffering a blue screen of death on my pc, a week later my D-Link DI-624 wifi router has died. I have checked and tested the power lead and that's ok. Has any one any ideas if it's fixable, or if not which wifi router shud I get? Wud it be compatible with my D-Link G650 cardbus for my laptop? Thank u!

How dead is dead? Are there any lights on the router?. It may have just beed spiked and had it's settings corrupted. It may be possible to reset it by using a straightened out paper clip to press the reset button but check the manual first. Most wireless routers can be configured to work with your laptop but may need a little "tinkering" with the security settings.

Thanks furnitureman, I will have a look at the Edimax this morning. Sounds exactly what I need, and glad it works with V.Media.
jonpol78 I know its dead as there is no lights even for power. Have tried resets and reinstalling the software etc, plus a spare power cable. It will have to go to the great recycling place in the sky........or sit in my drawer for a few years gathering dust!
