Saving photos.

I have about 2GB of jpeg photos in my "My Pictures "folder.I know it's easy to save from Drive E onto multiple cd-r or cd+r discs. However I would like to save them on one DVD disk but my drive E doesn't seem to recognise them. Can anyone help please.

May be stating the obvious, but does your drive support writing to DVDs?

Some older drives only supported writing to CDs.

Even some newer drives can WRITE CDs but can only READ DVDs.

If you have Nero or similar software I think there is an option for it to find out what type of drive you have.

Good question VHG, Title on drive E folder states DVD/CD-RW,however the cd writing wizard keeps telling me to insert a re-writable cd (cd-r or cd-rw).Therefor me thinks it doesn.t support DVD.
I have looked at Nero Express but cannot find option for drive.

Yours is a dvd player, and cd burner.

It won't burn to dvd. You could buy and external dvd burner very cheaply

or buy an internal DVD writer even cheaper and either replace you current CD writer or add the DVD writer as a second optical drive if your case has space for two.

Could that be because it is a dvd player and not a dvd burner?

have you used it many times to burn DVD's or CD's

By the fact it says DVD/cd-rw in my computer I would assume it is a CD burner and a DVD player so therefore will not burn DVDs.

are you using XP?
It will only wrtie to CDs, not DVDs.
You need 3rd party software to write to DVD
