microsoft media player V11 on vista

I am running windows media player v 11 under VISTA.

I cannot play videos that were recorded on my digital video player. It says an audio codec is missing

I can play them on my other computer using XP.

any ideas? Soemone said reload windows media player for viusta from microsoft site but I cannot find a vista coipy there
