I can't open attachments

Over the last few days I've not been able to open attachments - Any ideas?

What type of attachments ?

Photo's - Jpeg's - BMP's - Tiff - Gif ?.

Documents - Pdf's - Word Files ?.

Is there a messege coming up when you try opening that says " unable to open, different file format " or something along them lines ?.

Get back with some details.
