I pasted a photo onto a Word document then lost the original copy on the pc. If I copy & paste it pastes the whole document when I just want the photo - how can I change the Word doc copy back to a normal photo on the computer?

You need to save the Word document as a web page and then find the image among the component files for that page. See here for instructions:

This should also work.

Open Word, right click on the Picture then select Copy

Open Microsoft Paint, then select Paste.

The picture should appear in Paint.

Save the picture as a JPEG, BMP or whatever you want.
