I have a scarcely used Acer notebook with Windows XP I'd like to upgrade to Windows 7. Being a Notebook there is no CD/DVD drive so is it possible to perform an upgrade? Thanks

You can buy CD/DVD/BluRay drives which plug into a USB socket on your computer, so upgrades are possible.
You should be able to download it from MS
Genuine windows 7 disk and licence key about £20-35 on ebay. I've bought a few and they activate without problems. If you have a windows 7 home premium oem disk already (or know someone who has one) just buy key for £10 and use that disk. That is legal, you pay for the key.
