Hi
I have been carrying out a "spring clean" on my PC (W7 Home premium) and have removed several progs no longer needed. There are 2 that are still on my PC that I am not sure about : WinPcap 4.1.1 and Zinio Reader 4. Can anybody advise if it is safe to remove these 2 ?
Many thanks

Zinio is a digital magazine reader, fbg. Perhaps you downloaded it by mistake.
Pcap is a network admin thing. I'm pretty sure it's not Microsoft, just a system tool that you won't need.

Zinio was preinstalled on a Dell PC I bought.

I uninstalled it without any problems.

Note be VERY careful uninstalling programs if you don't know what they are. All sorts of programs are installed that are needed by OTHER programs.

If you uninstall program A that you dont think you need then program B may stop working.
Have you ever installed LimeWire?

make sure when uninstalling things that you have a few restore points to go back to if anything goes wrong
