Although I have never used it, because my sister-in-law is Swedish I installed the Swedish language option in google chrome, a long time ago. For some reason today. most of my web pages appear in Swedish, as well as my settings which makes it difficult to change because I do not know the language.
I have done a system restore which hasn't fixed this. Can anyone help?

Do you really need to ask the same question THREE times?

The problem is that my settings are coming up in Swedish so I don't know how to translate it to change my language settings.
As for you VHG, I am a pensioner who is not familiar with this so I resent the comment you made. I just wanted to make sure I had asked the question on the right page moron!!
Pensioner or not, I am not sure personal attacks are necessary.

A choice of words that mean 'language' in Swedish.
språk, tungomål

My main problem is that I am unable to change my settings as they are in Swedish and haven't got a clue what they mean!
I am looking for helpful advice and even though I may have put my questions on 3 different pages, does not warrant any sarcasm. I just want to get my system working in English again!
I understand that and also your frustration but calling someone a 'moron' will not endear you to those who may help - hope a true techie sees this for you.
I don't use Chrome but I would be surprised if the settings layout was different in Swedish than in English so you should be able to just click on the various controls as shown in that video, even if you don't recognise the words that are on the screen.
Just click on your picture (top right corner) it will bring up a box, click on 'Konto' then click on 'Språk' and then click on the box that says 'SVENSKA' and click on 'Engelska'. Done.
Or English :) I got carried away then. I used to learn Swedish.
I'd advise adding Swedish as a second language. That way if your sister in law changes it back to Swedish you can just switch it back by clicking on the Google search page 'English'.
