How can I tag my mp3 collection to show more detail?

Try media monkey jukebox. Choose your own details from a comprehensive list.

That same list can also be chosen from the file menu BTW...open the mp3 folder, select list, select choose details.

If you are doing bulk editing by far the best software is MP3Tag, its completely free. With a bit of setup you can convert filenames to tags and vice versa, allows group select and modify and will automatically lookup online databases to fill in the info of a lot of songs.

It does require a certain amount of computer literacy to get the best from it though.
