Unable To Print Photo's

I have been trying to print a photo via my Canon MP495 from my pictures folder with no success (have done this in the past with no problem). Keeps coming up with 'Printer not Responding'. but I can go straight to a Word/Excel folder and it will print with no problem. Help please

The software built into Windows, which allows you to print directly from 'My Pictures', seems not to be communicating properly with your printer's driver. If you were able to print that way in the recent past, using System Restore might fix the problem.

However it would probably make far more sense to install a decent image viewing (& manipulation) program, and print from there instead:
