Setting Up New User Accounts On A Laptop

I have set up another user account on my new laptop - an asus X550C, on win 8.1

it is like having a brand new laptop.
it is a work account, for me, so nothing needs to be private from me between the two.
is there any way i can transfer/copy some of my software and settings etc over to the new account?

i know i can put personal items in the public folder

but do i now have to reinstall all my software and manuallly adjust all my settings again?
